Line Dancing

Look for a shake-up in the lines for the game on Wednesday against the Panthers.  I know it’s a “punishment” for the lack of effort on Saturday, but I like it.  Of course, I may be singing a new tune Thursday morning, but for now, I applaud the new lines and am singing “Fireworks” The Tragically Hip.  BLOW IT UP!  Bravo, oh wise Mr. Hartsburgh!  BRAVO!!

Here they are:

Heatley-Mike Fisher-Daniel Alfredsson
Nick Foligno-Jason Spezza-Jesse Winchester
Antoine Vermette-Chris Kelly-Jarkko Ruutu.

Alex Daigle is still on the fourth line, so not really a fantasy consideration yet.

I just heard the post-practice interview with Herr Hartsburgh.  He ripped the boys a new one, but made it a point to say the changes were not all about Jason Spezza who seems to be taking the brunt of the criticism so far this year from the Blogosphere and MSM alike.  I happen to think this was a very calculated move by Herr Hartsburgh.  He knows they’ve had a messed up schedule to start the season and they were on the 2nd night of a back to back and there are just nights that a team isn’t going to be sharp.  The message he’s getting across is that there are no excuses for not playing hard.  Even if there’s a perfectly good, ready made excuse for not playing hard.

I have no idea if he’s a good Xs & Os guy yet, but I like the way he’s handling this situation.  Again, I say “Bully Bully”!!
